How was my wedding?

After two years, it is just now that I will write about my wedding which happened 2 years ago. My tita Ellen, who is like my childhood bestfriend, will be having her church wedding on October 8, 2011. That's one of the reason why I thought of posting infos about my wedding.

The wedding day itself was great! Well, aside from the heavy rains in the morning, the rest of the day went well. We were there 30mins. earlier than the specified time. The entourage were very prompt. Received a lot of material gifts. Our Bridal Registry was at SM HomeWorld.

A lot of things entered my mind on that day. I was excited for my silver wedding shoes. I felt enormously happy that I'll get to see all my friends and relatives all dressed up. And ofcourse, I was excited to move to our new home.

Leopard is my favorite print. But I don't plan to cover myself with this print. I can wear this as my top, shoes, and bracelet. I can do it one stuff at a time. As I am doing my shoe shopping, I decided to shop for a good shoe boxes. good thing my friend Neth knows someone who sells a good but cheap boxes. Upon arranging my shoes, I realized I have a few pairs in Leopard.

It's the time of the year when I indulge in maniacal shoe shopping spree. Take note: I use my own money. No sponsors (A.K.A. Husband) or whatsoever. So I went to my new favorite fashion blogger, Lloyda Lim's blog to seek help. Lloyda is very versatile when it comes to her choice of footwear. She is never boring. You'll just never know what you'll gonna get next. She post all her "what-I-wear"pictures and generous enough to provide links and infos on where to get all the wardrobe. That is what makes her blog a bliss to shoe crazy like me.

My being fond of shoes are just minimal crazy. Its not yet Imeldific. Im not planning to do that yet. I still have other plans. But I have that in mind. LOL!

Going back to my plans, July is the start of the this year's "bonus-months" in my work. Ahhh... the bliss of being an employee. I'm an employee junkie of a internationally huge Oil company. This company rules the oil prices. Don't blame it on me. Please.

I started my online shopping in AsianVogue. Oh gawd... If money is not an object, I will buy all 20 pairs that I have in mind. Since I have to stop myself from being bankrupt, I choose to buy just 6 pairs.

Just inline with my new segment "maniacal obsession", here is another stuff that I love indulging into: Fragrances.

Since I started earning my own money, I love collecting a lot of perfumes and colognes. Although, I still believe that it is better to use atleast 2 perfumes/ fragrances at a time. This is just me being compulsive. I know there are other people who collects more than what I have, thank God I'm happy with what I have already. As of today, below are the photos of my exorbitant array of fragrances. My bad. Which one is your favorite?

My favorite of them all: Léau Par Kenzo. I use this everyday.

Brogues is my favorite shoes next to Ballerinas. I love wearing them since they are all very comfortable and chic. This is one thing that you should know about me. Imma brogues maniac. I bought this one in silver from a thrift shop somewhere in Pasig for Php 35!! But of course I had it fixed a bit.

These 2 are my favorites. I bought it from my Forever21.

I love animal prints! I was hysterical when I saw this in Forever21. this is the remaining stock and luckily it was in my size!

Tonic is basically one of the pioneer in making brogues here in the Philippines. The blue and pink are my first pair! I was able to purchased a total of 4 pairs succedingly.

I hope to add more to this collection without robbing a bank. LOL! I hope you loved it. Ciao! ♥♥

On my Year 2010 birthday, my husband's gift to me is a Ray-Ban Wayfarer sunglasses. It was my favorite since then. I can wear it with any outfit, may it be formal or just a casual Sunday. I used to change my sunglasses everyday depending on my outfit.

Right now, I'm wearing my Marc Jacobs reading glasses. It is my favorite as well since it is very durable and can fit my chaotic everyday tote bag. I got it on sale for $162. It looks ordinary that's why a lot of my friends are surprised to know that I'm wearing Marc J.

Im a very basic person so there are only 2 eyewear in my bag everysingle day.

A bit similar to Wayfarer, is the Tom Ford Nikita sunglasses. It looks a bit clever-ish. I can say I'm a new fan. It was being sold out online at $422.40. I want one!

Aside from Nikita, Nico is also well applauded. This time it is a bit edgy.

They said Longchamp is the cheapest luxury bag that you can find in the market. I'd say it is the most expensive. Where can you find a $200 bag that is just made of little leather and mostly nylon. So to make all the gaga-talk short, I would say that I like it. I have a limited edition checkered Le Pliage LH in graphite. However, if money is not an object, I would rather choose to get the Longchamp + Jeremy Scott edition. The design below was actually a part of the collection of Longchamp in commemoration of the 20 years of ANDAM (Association Nationale pour le Développement des Arts de la Mode). Check it out. Enjoy!

It was pretty obvious that it was Pantene. Well, atleast to me. They could've atleast try to change the shape of the bottle. Only Pantene shampoo makes this shape.

Eversince I was a teenager, I have this vast fascination of animal prints. I think faux animal prints are cool. I think it is way too different from the stereotype cartoon print on kid's shirt (except for Hello Kitty, ofcourse) As I mature, Leopard print is my top choice for animal prints. I find it sexy.

As a follow up on my article below about Marlboro.Ph, a Marlboro rep called me and they said I can get in the venue and experience the party. They said they really had their system refreshed. I told them about that I got NO INVITES at all. They said sorry and so I party with my friends all night.

Ofcourse I brought my camera to take pictures. We were given a black paper bracelet on our right hands (that I wasnt able to take a pic of) and a "tattoo" to get unlimited alcohol drink. My arms looks bigger than my Hubby since it nearer the camera.

Then they had this pretty lady who dances nice on the ledge. I love them. I can sit there and watch them forever. I wanna be like them when I grow up.

I'm impressed that the party was filled of security for a small venue like that.

MARLBORO.PH GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER!

Back in 2008, i was asked to sign up to MARLBORO.PH. I heard about this posh parties that they are putting up every now and then. Just to make a little bit kwento on signing up, its not an ordinary "online sign-up" . With them you have to scan or take a picture of your ID and upload it to the website and wait for 1 week and all the freakin'effort. So I did all that. After 2 long years, ZERO INVITES RECEIVED. Today, I called their CS and ask why I dont receive any invites since day 1. They asked me to sign up again since they have refreshed their system and to call afterwards. After all the hassle and buzzle, I called. The lady named FLOR told me to wait for 1 week to get the login and password! Are you kidding me? The party is TONIGHT!!! All my friends will be there. She cant tell me straight that there's no way I can go to a MARLBORO PARTY tonight.

SHEEEEESHSH...

She also said to just go there and approach any person I know so I can get in. Shet nakakahiya naman yun dba?

Well if thats the case I will have to make my own party at my house.

I feel very disappointed. Thats a not so good Customer Service.

Last Sunday, 6th of June, My friends, Hubby James and Myself went to Rockwell to dine, drink and shop. There was an ongoing fashion bazaar. Well, practically, after I got married I dont do impulsive shopping anymore. That's why I dont bring enough budget to shop. I went there just to dine and drink with my closest friends and my hubby. Unfortunately for me, there's this store in the bazaar called Shoeology. They specializes in making brogues. Deym! my jaw just dropped! I cant believe it! This is actually a dream come true! If you guys can remember my last post in December 2008, I have started my quest for a nice boy shoes a year and a half ago. Ofcourse, im not only looking for a classic design but also something that will fit my budget. In the early year, I have settled for a thousand pesos price tag for a brogues and I feel that I just won the jackpot. What's surprising about their boyfriend shoes is its affordability.

I like it in different colors. I used to buy just about anything. Heels, Lowcut, Ballerinas, rubber, Leather. But as I get older, I decided to just stick to the basics. Now, I only get a pair of the trendiest shoes of the moment. But I don't indulge on it so much. As I have said, it is just a trend. I always go for the classic style, and so I stick to it. That would be those FLATS. ballerinas, Oxfords-Brogues, Gladiators, Boots. And I indulge on it. I normally like it in different colors.

I was reading STYLEBIBLE.PH last week and saw this article about oxford shoes. I love the one from ICHIGO. Its floral and comes in pink and blue. What I like about it is that it is very different from other brogues I've seen and it is very affordable! Topshop is selling oxford in white patent too. But I'm still waiting for it to go on sale. Clueless that I am, its been out in the market for gazillion years now. So, as expected, this are all sold out. But the good news is, They will re-stock it next month! Weeee! I've been hunting my Lola's manicurista. Since I moved out because I got married, I didn't get a chance to have a mani and pedi regularly as I do when I was single. I'm my Lola's pet so I get my mani's as often as she does caz she's the one who pays for it. God, I love her! ♥

Back in college, I used to love wearing pastel shades of nail polish. Back then I only used Sally Hansen and Caronia since those are the brand that my Lola use.

In the 21st century, like all chic ladies, I want to use something that looks sophisticated. The Chanel Le Vernis in Particuliere is my best choice. I love this color so much. Funny as it may seem, I would want this color in our living room walls.

Chanel Particuliere is available in the Philippines in Rustan's. However, It was selling like hotcake. It was sold out even for a $100 in Ebay. As per Chanel, it will only cost you $23, which is around Php1,200. So if your love to wear this too, you can ask your family member from the States to purchase for you. Cheers!

iPod Nano FM Radio: making its debut

I saw saw it coming. An iPod with a video camera and most of all, an FM Radio. For a simple person like me, I can say that this is the most convenient of all MP3 technology, after the the death of Walkman. It got all I need and not to mention its affordability. I think it ranges from Php 7k+ (8gig) to Php 9K (16gig) But of course there are still some areas for improvement: an extended memory.

Well, its all good for now.

It was a surprise to me when I read an article that says there are names for Pugs like my Waldo in diferrent countries:

Italy: Carlino
Germany: Mops Hund
Holland: Mopshond
Spain: Doguillo
China: Lo-sze or Ha Ba Gou (ancient)

The Gaelic name for the Pug is Smutmhadra. “Multum in Parvo” is what decribes a Pug. It means "A Lot of dog in a small body". By the way, It's Waldo's birthday on Valentines day. I'm scouting for a dog cake. Can anybody help me?

My wish for Christmas 2010

Our residence after Ondoy

Year 2010 is very promising for me. This is the year of living up to the changes. 2009 was a year of "NEW". New lastname, new life, new puppy, new house, new work department, etc. So this year, it is the time to live up to all these.

Due to last year's calamity and all that wedding spending, were kind of short budgeted during the Christmas season. So now, James and I decided to make our 2010 Christmas a very festive one.

I made a list of what I plan to do for the rest of the year and on Christmas season:

1.) On summer, I want to have our house interior painted in warm colors. I’m thinking of orange, or gray or beige. I still have to consult an interior designer. The house infront of us (James' family owned) was already done before the holiday season.

2.) I want to fill our lawn of plants (not zombies. harharhar!)

3.) I want to collect china. However, It is not recommended this year since as per forecasts there will be a lot of earthquake to expect.

4.) I will fill my Christmas tree with gazillions of gold and red Christmas ornaments.

5.) I will shop for Christmas gifts for everyone. I will make sure everyone close to me will get one.

6.) I will set up Christmas parties, one for my friends and one for my Family.

7.) I will shop for Waldo’s clothes. I suppose he will stop growing by now. (He’s already 1year old)

8.) I will start achieving to reach my goal savings. STOP SPENDING A LOT, Bing!

9.) I will travel to atleast 2 domestic destination. Maybe Vigan or Bohol or Palawan.

10.) I will eat lesser.

11.) I will start buying more durable-comfortable flats. I was able to get 3 brogues in aqua blue, yellow, hot pink. All from Tonic. I heard that flats from Anne Klein, Tory Burch, Michael Kors are okay. I hope to buy one from each store. Halleluiah!

12.) My husband and I will try to have a child by the 3rd quarter of the year. I want to have a boy.

13.) I will meet up with my friends more often. At this cyber age, it is good to meet and chat with you friends, face to face.

14.) I will apply for an Internet, Telephone, and cable connection by the end of 1st quarter.

15.) Of course before internet connection, I have to upgrade my desktop system. This is very important since I plan to take lessons in Photography.

16.) Then buy a laptop too.

What I did is: Untagged you on the picture, and to stop your worries, I totally blocked you from seeing it.You know, my FB account is very private. Only my friend can view it and no one can add me up unless I add them. The reason why this issue surfaced just now is because I just tagged you on it, as well as other friends. When you attended my birthday party on October 2008 I know you don't have a girlfriend yet because you're flirting.I believe you love "her" so much. My main point is, If you have problems with other people talk to the person directly. Dont harrass my James. And ask yourself first if your action will be right, or you will just make yourself miserable because it is just you who's disturbed by all these. Wag mo na isali ang album ko sa problema nyong dalawa.

BROWN OUT SCHEDULED ON OCTOBER 3, 2009

"MANILA – Distribution utility Manila Electric Company (Meralco) said that it cannot determine until when rotating brownouts being implemented in wide part of Metro Manila will end.

A fire affected one of the four 300 MVA transformers in the sub-station in Taytay, Rizal Wednesday night triggering the tripping off of the other transformers and the 115-kiloVolt lines of the Meralco sub-sector areas.

It took firemen almost an hour to control the blaze.

Authorities also had to use firefighting chemicals and retardants since the transformer reportedly contained oil.

The fire was declared under control around 10:30 p.m.

The other transformer units available at the substation have also been cut off from the system because its control cables have been affected by the fire incident.

The affected transformer supplies power to 11 Meralco substations that service eastern Metro Manila.

Meralco officials said close to a million households are now suffering the three-hour rotating brownouts as a measure to mitigate a more massive, widespread power interruption caused by the transmission trouble at the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines' (NGCP) Dolores substation in Taytay, Rizal."

I just watched the trailer of their upcoming ABS-CBN telenovela as my mother-in-law finished her lunch early today. There's this scene where a woman was putting out little toy pinoy jeepneys from a box. Her line to Piolo were, "Sigurado ka ba? Jeepney sa Paris?"

I almost fell in from my seat.

The day is on the 22nd of August 2009. Every single person I knew and bumped to lately asked me the same old question: "Kamusta? Are you nervous or excited?"

If only I noticed this earlier that this question is just a repeat, I would've equipped myself with a very fruitful answer (I still don't know what to reply... hmmm). Actually, nervousness just sinks in lately.

I initially feel stressed and broke. Broke because majority of our savings throughout our single hood was spent for the preparation. Aside from the wedding, we are also eyeing to buy a new house. We both decided to live away from our parents. We practically agreed to make some big changes in our lives.

I plan ahead. While my soon-to-be-better half is preparing for the wedding, I am already planning on where to reside after the wedding. I expect to have gifts from my beloved friends and family that are huge in size since that is what we include in our bridal registry. We need some space for that.

I also feel excited! With everything…

I have my gown done by Mitchi Calica-Sotto. Rommel Guerra and Kitty Bunag will shoot for the event.
Gloria Sy and Frida will do my hair and make-up
CVJ will cook and serve for the party.
Our Bridal Registry is at SM HomeWorld
Oasis Venue is the place to be right after the wedding and Fraser Hotel is where the after party will be.
I'm excited for my new pewter wedding shoes.
I’m excited to live in our new house.
I’m excited to see my friends and family dressed up in very nice formal attire for me.
I'm looking forward at the grandest party of my life. I don't really put up a grand party before. Whenever my grandparents plans a party for me I would ask them to just give me the money (so I'll splurge it on food and shopping). I remember on my 18th birthday, I asked them to just buy me a queen-size brass bed. The only birthday party I invited my friends to was my 7th 19th and 29th. The rest of it was celebrated over a nice dinner with my family in some fancy resto.
I’m excited for those who are excited for me.
I think my little Waldo is excited too. I have a little metallic brown bow tie made for him.

Now the next thing I need to be busy with is my wedding vow. I’ll keep you posted!

I didnt get to blog this immediately. And now he's already 4months old and chunkier. I love him! He's a sure stress buster for me!

My little Waldo is a gift from my Fiancée, James. His birthday is on Valentines Day. He only drinks milk and will think twice if you offer him water. He loves peanut butter lollipop and Chupa Chups Vanilla. He sleeps wherever and whenever. It’s easy to know if he did something awful (poop or wewee). He gets “guilty-face”. He’s indeed a baby. He wakes up twice it the middle of the night asking for milk and a playmate. He sleeps starting 10pm, wakes up at 1:30 (for milk and playtime) then goes back to sleep at around 3:30 am till 6am. I tried to ignore his pity cry, for me to get a good sleep. But who could resist a cute face like that? He will then cry as if somebody bullied him. He actually sleeps a lot and deep. NOTHING CAN WAKE HIM UP BUT THE SOUND OF LAY'S POTATO CHIP WRAPPER.I think I missed a lot of shopping events since I had him last weekend. I love him so much. I feel like he’s my first-born child.

First of all, I apologize to all the people who get offended on my post “ What if animals are OBESE?” This is actually a story about a friend who used to be close who keeps on pulling herself down. I’m not sure if that’s a strategy on her part to get more sympathy from others or it’s her way of life. I decided to avoid her since I know I don’t want to go where she’s going. She claims to be a very intelligent person however, nobody sees success in her. She’s actually obese. She got a lot of ailments but she denies that fact that its about her weight. She eats more and more everyday and despite the fact that we, her friends told her to stop to avoid her being sick. We all care for her because she is a very loving friend. But being like this, people gets tired of all the drama. Nobody listen anymore.

I didn’t mean to offend anyone. This does not pertain to all people of the same size. I’m sorry if I underestimated the fact that a lot of people are not reading my blog. I thought that the people who read this are people who can relate. To stop the madness, I am taking it back and deleted the entry. Sorry…

I love the Paul Smith collection for women. However, I wonder weather it is for spring or fall, the website did not specify (ugh!).

I think I can carry the brogues around. I love the fact the it looks so decent but not boring, so highfashion but very comfortable. I spend 45mins hailing the taxi mostly just 2x a week that's why I make sure my wardrobe is comfortable to wear since I run aroun. But at I still took time time to be very fashionable since I work in a very competitive corporate world where Vuitton, Chanel, and Cavalli is a household name. Denims is a big no-no in the office. I'll shut up now so can check the pics.

Weeee!!! I hope it isn't too late to greet everyone yet.

The thing is,I am suppose to fill in a lot of articles in December. However, I just can't find the driving force to do so (Deadly Sin: Laziness).

I didn't even talk about my fab birthday party last October with my family and friends, the best gift I got ever on that day, the "Major" (posh becks style) fab lights around the metro during the holidays season, the gift I give myself, and etc.

July 12, its James' and myself first time to try Kopirotti (congrats! harhar!). Their hot chocolate and coffee bun are superb! But of course nothing beats the creamy chocolate drink of Krispy Kreme.
